The Project

Pilot Close is a greenfield site with planning permission for industrial use: car sales and maintenance. Planning permission was granted.

Our Role

We provided Civil and Structural services for the new building and ancillary wash bay. External works were carefully detailed to efficiently achieve the site access and finished levels thereby avoiding extensive earthworks. A gabion retaining wall was provided to the front boundary due to a change in levels.
The industrial building approximately 36x13m wide was designed as a portal frame building at approximately 5.5m centers with lightweight cold rolled cladding rails and purlins. Vertical bracing bays were provided at appropriate locations. Isolated pad base foundations and strip foundations were provided as recommended by the ground investigation report.
